Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Our school has been awarded The Gold School Games Award again this year. The endorsement came with the following quote about our school: “A just reward for all of your outstanding hard work this year in supporting the School Games Organiser initiatives.” Another great achievement. Well done Miss Bowles for lead PE/Sport in school so successfully and for all of the adults in school who give up their time to support physical development & fitness outside of the curriculum too.

We have finally taken delivery of a defibrillator provided to us by the Department for Education (DfE) to help protect pupils, staff and visitors to the schools, including local communities who use the school facilities & the field/tennis courts. The money raised from the signed Nottingham Forest football shirt has also paid for the lockable external cabinet for the wall outside of the community room facing the field. Thank you to all the parents who offered their help installing it and thank you to Mr Ebert for installing the defibrillator.
We wished both Di Rowland and Cheryl Kempster a ‘Happy Retirement.’ Show-offs! Thank you both for your service, dedication, hard-work and kindness to our school and children (and me). We look forward to hearing about your next adventures and hope retirement greets you both with health and happiness.
We have been awarded The Lincolnshire Reading Pledge Award! We value the importance of reading for pleasure & work hard to ensure that every child becomes a confident, fluent & enthusiastic reader. Well done to Mrs Silby and our Reading Champions on achieving this.
I just wanted to reach out and say thank you to all the parents who wished our school luck and passed on their best to the team ahead of (and during) our inspection this week. The staff and I were blown away by the support of our community and the overwhelming positive comments made. We value the feedback and, when it comes, the praise for our hard work.
We love serving our community & making a difference and was delighted that this was recognised this week too.
The outcome is currently confidential but I look forward to being able to share more with you soon.
On Monday 10th July (1:15-3:15pm), our new EYFS children are invited back into school for the afternoon to spend time with each other, in school, with the future teachers.
We would love it if the children (both our incoming EYFS and our current Bluebirds) could bring a teddy bear of their choice and if our incoming EYFS children could bring a snack with them too.
Thank you to everyone who spent Saturday with us all at our Annual Summer Fayre. We were all blown away by the turn out. It was great to have such a variety of stalls & entertainment for the afternoon; and to see familiar faces (current and former) & to meet some new families too. We hoped you enjoyed the children’s dancing and singing; they sure do enjoy rehearsing the maypole each year. Thank you to our wonderfully creative and organised PTA for arranging one of the best Summer Fayre’s I’ve experienced at Claypole; and to Allison Homes for sponsoring it.
A highlight video of our Fayre can be watched on our Facebook page and our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AEgkK9Vmiik
