  • Attendance Success

    Fri 22 Oct 2021

Thank you to our families for bringing their children to school everyday and when called for, helping to keep us all safe from COVID-19. Our First half term concluded with the following attendance percentages:

    EYFS: 97.62

    YEAR 1: 97.07
    YEAR 2: 96.73

    YEAR 3: 98.21

    YEAR 4: 97.77

    YEAR 5: 96.89

    YEAR 6: 96.92

    Whole school: 97.32 (Y1-Y6: 97.27)

Our aim is to achieve 97% by the end of the year and so far we are on track. Children who attend school regularly have been shown to achieve at higher levels than those who do not have regular attendance.

  • Harvest Donations

    Wed 20 Oct 2021

Donations (tins, pasta, rice…) are welcome and will be sent to The Emmaus Trust, Newark who we have supported each year. We, and the Emmaus Trust, would be delighted if families were able to make a donation again this year.

  • Harvest Festival

    Wed 20 Oct 2021

With the school in attendance at St Peter’s Church for Harvest Festival (Thursday 21st October, 9:30), there is an approximate capacity of 50 parents/carers. I ask families to be mindful of this and consider having 1 family member come so that more families can be in attendance.

Please respect the reserved class signs on pews for the children/staff to sit in; there will be several unreserved pews for parents/carers to sit in too.

I understand that not all parents/carers are able to join us and some may feel uncomfortable if it becomes crowded; therefore, school will be filming during the Harvest Festival which will then be shared on our website for you to watch together as a family later.

The church door will remain open to allow fresh air to circulate through; you may also feel that wearing a mask inside church will help too.

  • Secondary Schools

    Tue 19 Oct 2021

Parents of children in Y6 can apply online at www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/schooladmissions, or make a phone application by contacting the Education Team on 01522 782030.   If applicants live outside of Lincolnshire then they need to apply to their home Local Authority even if they want a school in Lincolnshire. Many people will have been waiting for the 11+ results before applying, and hopefully they will have received these now. The main closing date for applications is 31 October. There is no advantage in applying early. In early November we will provide instructions to enable you to view which of your year 6 pupils have applied, and therefore identify those who haven't, in order to carry out a more targeted chase! If you have any queries, please feel free to contact the Education Team on 01522 782030 or email schooladmissions@lincolnshire.gov.uk
