  I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone for making our school a happy, successful and continually improving place that it is. I hope you all have a very well deserved summer break, and to our Year 6 children, a successful future. I look forward to seeing you all back and welcoming our new children into school on Tuesday 5^th September.

• Governor Awards

  Congratulations to the children who were given 'Governor Awards' today.  The staff nominated children from each year group for each of the three categories before voting commenced.  The winners were:

   

  For Outstanding Progress:  Lucy McKee (Y6)

  For Outstanding Behaviour (inc. learning behaviour):  Emmie Blatherwick (Y5)

  For Outstanding Citizenship:  Oscar Dobb (Y2)

  Thank you to everyone who came to our Leavers Service at St Peter's Church today; we hope you enjoyed hearing the children's reflections, golden moments and seeing them again when they first started with us.  We are all really proud of the children.  We will always be interested in them and their destiny, wherever they go, whatever they do and whoever they become.  Their joys and sorrows: we'll always be happy to share.  Have a lovely summer holiday!

• Golf Club cancelled due to rain

• Sports Day - date change

  Having seen the weather forecast for this week, Tuesday is predicted rain all day; therefore we have decided to rearrange Sports Day for Friday morning (14th July). Hopefully many of you can still come to support the children.

• Year 6 Leavers Service

  Our Leavers Service will be in the church this year. We will be leaving school after registration at 9 and hoping to be in the church for a 9:30/9:45 start. The children have practised songs, hymns, prepared a short video and have prepared a reflection of their time at primary school too. We hope you can join us to celebrate their last day in primary school.
