• Successful Food Hygiene Rating

  Last week, a Health and Hygiene Inspector from South Kesteven Food Safety conducted a surprise ‘drop-in’ inspection on our kitchen and dinner service.

   

  Our food hygiene was rated 5 (the highest possible rating) and is proudly displayed in our school entrance.

   

  A huge well done to Diane, Julia and all our mid-day staff (Ann, Adele, Loretta, Sue and Cathy) for their continued hard work.

  

• PTA meeting

  Just a reminder that our PTA are meeting on Wednesday 13th January 6 p.m. at school (in the committee room aka 'the snug').

• Multi Skills Club for Year 1 and Year 2

  We will be running a Multi Skills After School Club at Claypole Primary School for Year 1 & 2 children in Term 3. This club will give the children the opportunity to participate in a number of fun games and activities that will help develop their multi-skills such as throwing, dodging, rolling and many others.

   

  Signing up through the MSP website would be the best way to organise the registration for the club. By signing up online, your emergency contact data will automatically be put into a register along with any medical conditions the coach may need to know about and can then be downloaded so the coach have it to hand at the club each week.

   

  The club will begin at 15.30 and run for an hour after school (15.30-16.30).

   

  The Club will run for 5 weeks on Wednesdays:

  January – 13^th, 20^th, 27^th,

  February – 3^rd, 10^th,

   

  There is no cost to you to sign up for this club.

   

  There will be 20 places available at this club. These places are to be given on a first come first served basis through our simple online booking system.

   

  Your child will require suitable clothing for sport and physical activity.

• Welcome Back!

  Happy New Year!

  Welcome Back.  Refreshed and eager to learn…

  I hope you all had a lovely Christmas. On behalf of all the staff at Claypole Church of England Primary School, I would like to wish you and your families a wonderful 2016. The first day back is in full swing and it feels as if the holidays were ages ago! It was fantastic to see so many smiley faces today and hear about all of the exciting things the children have done over the holidays.

  Welcome to Mr Heathcote and Miss Kurvink

  We would like to extend a warm welcome to Mr Heathcote in Year 6 and our new Deputy Head teacher and Miss Kurvink our new Reception teacher.  We are very excited and looking forward to working with them and hope that you get an opportunity to meet with them soon.

• Clubs & Swimming 2016

  Clubs

  Most clubs will start next week. Information about clubs will be sent home this week and will also appear on our school website. However, Choir and Cross-county will still be on this week.

   

  Swimming

  Year 4 will begin their swimming lessons on Tuesday 12^th January until March 22nd. Letters have been sent home in the children’s bags.
