The Claypole Church of England Primary School

Strive for Excellence, Promote Harmony and Value Achievement

What a child wears to school reflects his/her learning. It also portrays the school’s ethos and shared positive values.  We have a smart but simple uniform that we encourage all pupils to wear.   This is a navy sweatshirt, a white polo shirt and charcoal-grey trousers or navy-blue skirt.

I am delighted to be able to inform you that our school uniform (now complete with our school logo) will now be provided by ‘Uniform Direct.’ Jumpers, cardigans, fleeces, polo-shirts… can all be purchased on line or in the Lincoln High Street branch. Just visit: Letters went home with the children this week and the information can also be found on our website: menu…parents…uniform…

The uniform colour will remain the same. The price remains the same too. There will be no expectations that children have to wear the new jumpers.

We are still stocking our current sweatshirts and cardigans which are now reduced to half price. When the stock runs out, ‘Uniform Direct’ will be the only supplier for our uniform.

Some school uniform, including sweatshirts, cardigans, polo shirts and PE t-shirts are sold at cost and can be purchased from the school office. Also available from the office are book bags, PE bags and water bottles.  All items of uniform should be clearly named.  Children are asked to wear grey socks and sensible black shoes - not trainers please or boots.  Jewellery, other than watches, is not permitted and studs or sleepers only are to be worn in pierced ears.

It is important for pupils to wear correct clothing for physical activities.  For PE children require a navy blue t-shirt or a white t-shirt and navy shorts. For games activities outside, children need a navy blue t-shirt or a white t-shirt, navy shorts and trainers.  Track suits, preferably navy or fleeces may be worn for games during winter months.  All clothing should be clearly labelled.  Jewellery must not be worn for sporting activities and long hair should be tied back.
