Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Lincolnshire County Council have issued a public safety message to schools. People are being urged not to travel as the county’s gritting team attempts to get the county’s major roads moving again. Gritter lorries are concentrating efforts on clearing the snow in the city, compromising other parts of the county. We take the safety of our pupils, parents and staff very seriously and severe weather can compromise the safety of all of us when we are travelling to and from school. On guidance from the Local Authority, we have therefore made the decision to close our school tomorrow (Thursday 1st March). We will keep you updated about our decision for Friday and all being well/safe, we will re-arrange World Book Day for Friday. Thank you for your understanding.
We would to invite the children to decorate/make an Easter bonnet and/or decorate an egg for a special Easter
competition. The decorations should come into school on the morning of Wednesday 28th March for judging.
There will be prizes for first, second & third for EYFS/KS1 Easter bonnets; prizes for first, second & third for EYFS/ KS1egg decoration; prizes for first, second & third for KS2 Easter bonnet and prizes for first, second & third KS2 egg decoration. Good luck!
On Thursday 1st March, we are celebrating World Book Day. We are inviting the children to come to school dressed as their favourite book character.
As part of the day, the children will be working with rhymes and rhythm in writing. As well as dressing up, we would like to ask the children to bring in a rhyming book (for example, The Cat in the Hat, Room on a Broom…) if the children have one.
