Our Pupil Parliament will be a well-respected body within the school and consist of pupils between Years 3 and 6 (with each of these classes having three representatives who are elected by their peers).
Children involved in our Pupil Parliament will meet regularly to discuss topics, issues and initiatives that affect them and their learning environment. As part of their responsibilities, the team will work closely with our Senior Leadership Team, organise their own meetings, decide on an agenda, share new ideas and vote on a number of school-related issues.
There will be four committees within the Pupil Parliament: Teaching for Learning Committee; Health & Fitness Committee; Collective Worship & Christian Values Committee & Community Committee.
Speeches and elections will be held during the afternoon on Monday 18th December where children will be invited to present their speech and explain why their peers should vote for them to represent them on our Pupil Parliament. Children, if you are interested, start preparing your speech for Monday. There will be a sign-up sheet near the current ‘School Council’ display (so that voting forms can be made). Deadline for signing up is Friday 15th December.
