Welcome to the Toucan Class

Your teachers are: Mrs Boiston (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) and Mrs Clarke (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday).

This term we are learning about: "Into The Abyss."

We will be exploring the following questions: 

How deep is the ocean?

How did HMS Challenger change British history?

How do we know what is below the surface of the ocean?

Who was Jacques Cousteu? How did he impact oceanography?

How have humans impacted life in the ocean?

Which sea creatures are endangered?

PE is on a Monday and Tuesday for Autumn 1.

We will set spellings weekly on a Friday on Spelling Shed. Please make sure you have a login and if you don't, we're happy to help!

Please encourage children to log on to TTRS to practise their times tables at least 3 times a week. Alongside this, we will be running a TTRS club at lunchtimes to support with quick recall of times tables.

Please also continue to encourage lots of reading at home. We have a class padlet which all children will have access to. On here, please encourage children to leave reviews of what they have been reading so everyone else in the class can see recommended books.
