Welcome back to the start of the new school year and welcome to all our new starters. We hope you’ve had a lovely summer. How time flies! It is great to welcome the children back after the break and lovely to see their smart new uniforms & how they have grown over the six weeks!

Our new Reception children have made a fabulous start to school life and the rest of the children are settling really well into the routines of their new classes and adjusting to the expectations of their new teachers.

We want to continue to make the school experience as enjoyable, successful and productive as possible for all our children. Curriculum overviews for each class will be available on our website.

We are looking forward to continuing a productive partnership with you to ensure our children can achieve their highest potential. We recognise that in order to be successful, out children need support from both home and school. As partners, we share the responsibility for our children’s success and want you to know that we do our very best to carry out our responsibilities. We ask that you guide and support your child/ren’s learning by ensuring that he/she:

1. Attends school daily and arrives on time, ready for the day’s learning experience;
2. Completes all homework assignments given by teachers;
3. Reads regularly to develop a love for reading & to improve literacy skills;
4. Shares school experiences with you so that you are aware of their school life;
5. Knows that we all have their best interest for them and we all want them to do well.

Please consider coming along to our PTA meetings, events, workshops etc as our school, can greatly benefit from your involvement and contributions. During the year, we also seek volunteers to help us with reading, trips, swimming and other exciting activities and events in school. The wonderful Claypole staff and I feel privileged to be part of this school family; we thank you for your support and look forward to another successful year this year.
