Sparrows art this term has been about ‘Realism’ – referring to a mid-nineteenth century artistic movement characterised by subjects painted from everyday life in a naturalistic manner... in an almost photographic way.
Having looked closely at the artwork of Nick Mackman, the children applied realistic techniques to draw ‘dragon eyes’ which to the Vikings, dragons were powerful creatures that were the embodiment of chaos and destruction! The children will turn their sketches into 3D sculptures using clay.
