Believe And Achieve: To Be The Best That We Can Be

COVID-19 update

We recognise that there are a wide range of different concerns around COVID-19. Some of you may be feeling relaxed about the whole thing whilst other families are feeling very anxious and worried. This may, of course, be dependent on your own family’s circumstances.

For the moment, the Government has decided to keep schools open.

If your child has a persistent cough and/or a high temperature the Government is asking you to keep them away from school for seven days and we will request this too for the safety of other children and their families.

Whilst we have your children in school, we are very keen to prioritise learning and keep our school a safe & fun place to be.

Tomorrow morning, the children will go straight to their classroom on arrival. They’ll be able to hang their belongings up, wash their hands and settle into class before their learning begins. This will also allow vulnerable families the quickest drop off possible and limit the need for contact.

All vulnerable surfaces are being cleaned daily. We will send children out at exactly home time so that we limit the amount of contact parents have at pick up time. If your family is especially concerned or vulnerable, please let us know and we will consider alternative arrangements for you.

Hand washing in school continues to be very important and we will be asking everyone to wash their hands at regular intervals throughout the day including just before we send them home to you. If your child’s hands are getting a little sore, please feel free to send in a gentler soap in a labelled dispenser and/or labelled moisturiser.

We ask for all children to bring water bottles to school and take them home each day for a thorough clean.

The DfE update schools everyday. The school is planning for a full closure if the event the Government changes its advice; we will endeavour to keep you all updated.

Thank you for your support, understanding and continued kindness through this difficult and uncertain time.
