Welcome to the Toucan Class

Your teachers are: Mrs Hussein (Monday and Tuesday) and Mrs Clarke (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday).

This term we are learning about: The Vikings.

We will be exploring the following question:

How Viking are we?

We will break our learning down to find out the answers to the following questions:

Where did the Vikings come from?

What were the main events during the Viking times?

Why was King Alfred called "Alfred The Great?"

Who were the Viking Gods and what did they represent?

How and why did the Vikings invade Great Britain? What were Viking warriors like?

PE is on a Monday and Thursday.

We will set spellings weekly on a Friday on Spelling Shed. Please make sure you have a login and if you don't, we're happy to help!

Please encourage children to log on to TTRS to practise their times tables at least 3 times a week. Alongside this, we run a TTRS club at lunchtimes to support with quick recall of times tables.

Please also continue to encourage lots of reading at home. We have a class padlet which all children will have access to (link below). On here, please encourage children to leave reviews of what they have been reading so everyone else in the class can see recommended books.
