Our school takes responsibility for the character development of our young people as a central element of our role in education. Character education includes all explicit (taught) and implicit (caught) educational activities that help our pupils develop positive personal strengths called virtues. Character Education is more than just a subject; it is about helping our children grasp what is ethically important in situations and how to act for the right reasons. Character Education in our school will have a legacy far beyond us, impacting young people as friends, neighbours, parents, team members and employees... benefitting both the individuals themselves, their wider communities and broader society.
The aim of our Character Education is to equip learners with a balance of strong, desirable virtues that enable them to:
through both an enabling school culture and systematic teaching.
