Welcome to the Toucan Class

Your teachers are: Mrs Boiston (Monday,Tuesday & Wednesday ) and Mrs Clarke (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday).

This term our topic is: The Maya Civilization 

We will be looking to answer the following question: What happened to the Maya Civilization?

We will learn where the Maya people lived, who they were, what their legacy was (their writing, number system and trading links), Chichen Itza and their religious beliefs. We will develop our skills as historians through source work, analysis and research. 

PE is on a Tuesday and Wednesday.  

We will set spellings weekly on a Friday on Spelling Shed. Please make sure you have a login and if you don't, we're happy to help!

Please encourage children to log on to TTRS to practise their times tables for 20 minutes a week. Alongside this, we run a TTRS club at lunchtimes on Fridays to support with quick recall of times tables.

Please also continue to encourage lots of reading at home. We have a class padlet which all children will have access to (link below). On here, please encourage children to leave reviews of what they have been reading so everyone else in the class can see recommended books.
