                  Welcome back Kingfishers!

This term our topic is 'Eye on the World'. We will be developing our geography skills, as we learn about rivers, the Water Cycle and various animals that live around the world. During our Science we will focus on plants and how they grow and we'll be setting up some interesting experiments. Our DT will be making us all healthy and hungry as we design and make our very own rainbow pizzas, using our maths measuring skills to make the perfect recipe. In art we will study the natural sculptures of Andrew Goldsworthy, who uses stones, logs and leaves to create his art.

Our PE will also be very exciting this term as we work with Sophie Allen, an Olympian. She will be teaching us all about health and fitness. As well as our sessions with Sophie, we will continue to work on our core strength and skills in our REAL PE lessons.

Alongside all these exciting learning opportunities we also have some whole school events to look forward to; sports day, maypole dancing, an art week and some brand new science equipment to explore. It's going to be a great term.
